Girl Scout Mission - Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scouting is for every girl, everywhere—where today's girls can become tomorrow's leaders.
Membership in Girl Scouts is open to girls in grades K- 12. Women and men over 18 years old can join as adult members. Girl Scouts is Girl Led, Learn by Doing, and provides Cooperative Learning. There are six pathways in Girl Scouts - Camp, Events, Series, Travel, Troop, and Virtual. Although most girls choose to belong to a troop, girls can participate in more than one pathway.
As a Girl Scout, girls follow the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to identify the three keys to leadership:
